Tom Haines is a Mechanical Engineer that has been involved
in the security window and door industry since 2000. His
career started with General Electric Plastics in the
Insulgard division. This company produced blast, ballistic,
and forced entry resistant products for the security
industry. His main focus was within the US Embassy market
for the high security steel products. Additionally, he was
the West Coast Sales Person for the Homeland Security
Market. With his back ground, Tom was highly involved in
testing & certification along with design & development of
the security products. From this position he moved on to
Norshield Security Products where he was the Salesman for
the East Coast. Currently Tom works for Graham Architectural
Products as the Security Programs Manager. His
responsibilities are to help support and run the blast
division of Graham Architectural Products and develop new
security products that are needed in the security industry.

blast resistance for DoD UFC 04-010-01 2003 & 2007
revisions, GSA/ISC blast requirements, along with many other
miscellaneous requirements for blast resistance windows &
doors.
Blast Hazard Mitigation 202
This presentation covers the more advanced issues relating
to blast resistance. It is an presentation similar to the
Blast Hazard Mitigation presentation but covers more in
depth topics that the introductory presentation. The topics
cover the standard blast resistance specification for DoD
UFC 04-010-01 2003 & 2007 revisions and GSA/ISC blast
requirements for windows & doors.
Security Framing
This presentation covers blast resistance, ballistic
resistance, forced entry resistance issues for windows and
doors. Additionally, hurricane impact and earth quake issues
are also offered. It is a well rounded presentation covering
many facets of the security industry.
