Bekaert Specialty
Films offers a line of safety and security films whose primary purpose is
enhancing the performance of installed glazing. These films vary in
thickness from .004” (4 mi) to .014” (14 mil) and are installed on interior
of the glass. These films are retrofit materials that can be installed with
very little interruption to daily activity of the building.
These films,
depending upon the thickness selected, can meet a number of tests that
require the improving of the glazing. Some of these tests include:
ANSI Z 97.1
CPSC CFR 1201, Category II
GSA Standard Test for Airblast Loading on Glazing
Dade County, Small Missile- Impact and Cycling
Florida Building Code. Large Missile- Impact and Cycling*
* 100 MPH Windzone
