Product Line / Service Description
Used for over 25 years
throughout the world, the UVEKOLŽ Glass Laminating System product line by
Cytec Industries Inc. has provided the end user a cost efficient way to
control laminated glass quality and supply. These high quality laminated
glass products have performance properties that are being utilized in the
hurricane, bomb blast, sound attenuating, safety and security markets.
UVEKOLŽ A was designed to
provide superior sound deadening performance compared to other laminating
systems. While sound attenuation is the primary benefit, the end user still
has the piece of mind of having a safe laminated glass product. It passes
the ANSI Z97.1 and CPSC 16 CFR 1201, Cat. I & II standards for safety
glazing.
UVEKOLŽ S was a product designed
for the safety and security glazing markets, but has successfully been used
for over 10 years in hurricane resistant glazing systems and more recently,
bomb blast resistant systems. It is approved in Miami-Dade County for use as
an interlayer and has successfully passed in various glazing systems for the
high velocity hurricane zones. It also passes the ANSI Z97.1 and CPSC 16 CFR
1201, Cat. I & II standards for safety glazing.
These systems utilize Cytecs
own UV curable liquid technology to form a very clear, tough, durable
plastic interlayer. They require no mixing and cure by low intensity UV
light, and therefore the laminator has a user friendly, safe, and consistent
process.
