Mylar®
brand polyester film, only by DuPont Teijin Films, is the base substrate of
choice used by manufacturers in the majority of safety/security film
products. When properly applied, safety/security film products significantly
reduce the risk of injury or death dues to broken glass. These products are
used extensively on government and commercial building windows, as well as
homes in areas that are prone to severe weather. Mylar®
brand film is preferred for such
applications due to its outstanding toughness and clarity.
