PGC International to Present at
glasstec
The Protective Glazing Council (PGC) International
announced its upcoming presentation at glasstec, an international
trade show and group of educational seminars, to be held October 21-25
in Düsseldorf, Germany. Raj Goyal of Architectural Testing, Inc. will be
presenting “Protective Glazing for Blast Loads and Other Disasters” on
October 21st during the opening day of the event. Representing PGC
International, the presentation will be the organization’s first
offering internationally.
“The Protective Glazing Council became PGC
International in early 2008, and this event marks the beginning of our
effort to reach across the borders of the United States and embrace a
more global approach to protective glazing technologies,” said Brian
Pitman, Director of Marketing and Communications. “By presenting on
mostly American technologies in Europe, we hope to offer potential
members beneficial information as an incentive to join the organization
as we begin to offer services beyond any national borders.”
The presentation will focus on various technologies
and strategies for building envelope protection. These include laminated
glazing applications, applied film and other technologies. Goyal will
also cover various standards in effect in the United States, and offer
information about PGC International and its efforts.
Goyal’s presentation takes place from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m.
in Room 6, CCD South of the event. This year’s glasstec, which occurs
biannually, is expected to draw more than 50,000 attendees from dozens
of countries across the globe. For more information on attending
glasstec, please visit their website at
