PGC International Unveils
Industry Speaker's Bureau
The Protective Glazing Council (PGC) International has
unveiled a new feature on its website aimed at providing a central
location for visitors interested in hosting a presentation or speaker from the protective
glazing industry. The PGC International Speaker's Bureau features
industry experts who can provide a non-commercial presentation on a wide
variety of industry issues, technologies and solutions.
"The focus of the Bureau is to provide educational
opportunities to those who need them most," explained Brian Pitman,
Director of Marketing and Communications for PGC International.
"We aren't looking to add 'buy my product' presentations to this list.
Our goal is for the Bureau to offer education that allows the designer
and building owner to make the proper decisions on applications and
solutions for their projects."
Initial work on the project began before PGC
International's Spring Meeting earlier this year in Orlando. The
Resources Committee brainstormed ways to better address the needs of
the architectural community and government agencies, and the Bureau was
among the ideas strongly supported by the Committee.
"The Speaker's Bureau is the answer to many
inquiries for information or speakers we receive each year," explained Sara Neiswanger,
Account Executive for the organization. "Many institutions,
architectural firms, educational seminars and such are always looking
for a speaker from the industry who can provide education and act as an
ambassador for PGC International."
The website, available at
www.protectiveglazing.org/bureau, is also looking to add more
speakers across a broad range of presentation topics. To add
yourself or others from your company or organization, please contact
Neiswanger via phone at (785) 271-0208, or via email at
sara@protectiveglazing.org.
