PGC International Annual Symposium Focuses on Energy Efficiency and Protection
The Protective Glazing Council (PGC) International announced its 2008 Annual Symposium, which will take place November 11-13th at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City in Arlington, Virginia. Titled “Protective Glazing in a Green World: Sustainability and Protection,” the Symposium features a variety of presentations and speakers who address the convergence of protective glazing technologies with the ongoing “green” movement of environmentally friendly buildings.

“The green movement is gaining momentum around the globe,” said Bill Yanek, Executive Director of PGC International. “With many projects in need of protective glazing to protect future occupants, our focus with the Symposium is to educate the architectural, government and building owner communities on methods to achieve a solution that protects both people and the environment.”  READ MORE >>

PGC International Resources Committee Scouting New Papers, Presentations, Videos
The Resources Committee of the Protective Glazing Council International is currently searching for new reference papers, educational presentations and videos for publishing on the PGC International website. The site currently holds a sizeable amount of information, though portions of its contents have become somewhat outdated. It is essential that the Council offer and maintain its quality references.

In efforts to provide accurate and informative resources, the Committee is soliciting white papers, informational papers and videos with little blatant marketing, as well as AIA or CSI-accredited presentations related to protective glazing to be published on the PGC International website.  As the Resources section of the website is consistently one of the top pages visited by approximately 60,000 visitors from around the globe, placement of the papers, articles, presentations and videos can be a useful marketing tool for research and work performed in the industry.  READ MORE >>
